Today’s nauseating WT
by Slidin Fast ini am sitting at home, trying not to barf as this wt paragraph by paragraph tries to character assassinate those who have the temerity to take the emblems.
the unwritten, unspoken subtext is that they, the gb, the now distinct and separate “slave” are above all this.
they, the gold standard are immune to this questioning.

How much will Life Change after its all over?
by Slidin Fast inthis period of crisis seems endless and absolutely weird but end it will.. in the mean-time people are working successfully from home, the skies have cleared, international meetings are held on line.
lots of frustrating commuter journeys are just not necessary.
the world is cleaning itself almost visibly in days, the skies are clearing.

Cofty, I certainly agree about the social aspects of things. I certainly still want to travel and enjoy my retirement and see people and places.
On the other hand, I may be more careful about how I do that.
I was talking to a financial services professional yesterday who is now totally set up to talk to clients from home, he told me that they had thought of closing a satelite facility in another city that was really not essential but had not. They now have three expensive office buildings attended by one person for 4 hours a day and the company is working well. There is a massive profit incentive in cutting down that expensive space to a smaller more prestige HQ and not sitting in traffic coming and going there. Money talks.
So, multiply that by the thousands of other firms around the globe, just a small shift in that direction could make a big difference to life.

In the mean-time people are working successfully from home, the skies have cleared, international meetings are held on line. Lots of frustrating commuter journeys are just not necessary. The world is cleaning itself almost visibly in days, the skies are clearing. Wild life is appearing where it hasn't been seen in years.
Then the world will start rolling again.
I don't anything being quite what it was. Canny business owners will wonder why they pay for huge offices when their staff can operate from home. Lots of travel is expensive and unnecessary.
So how do you see it? Will things just resume or will the the world just tilt slightly on its axis? We've all got time for a little speculation.

UK Government web site - Covid 19 is no longer an H.C.I.D.
by The Fall Guy in"as of 19 march 2020, covid-19 is no longer considered to be a high consequence infectious diseases (hcid) in the uk.. now that more is known about covid-19, the public health bodies in the uk have reviewed the most up to date information about covid-19 against the uk hcid criteria.
the advisory committee on dangerous pathogens (acdp) is also of the opinion that covid-19 should no longer be classified as an hcid.

If you read this document is simply about the definition and nature of this disease. It is not saying that the pandemic is not serious it's just about the classification and appropriate handling of it.

Legal Concerns About "Zoom" Meetings!
by Atlantis inthis whole "zoom" thing has got me wondering whether some of it is legal or not.
if a person has to dress up for a zoom meeting the way the watchtower dictates, doesn't this really go "beyond" cult?.
even the cults who committed mass suicide were able to dress the way they wanted for their meetings.

Despite my resentfulness of these zoom meetings I am afraid that this facility is not just invading WT homes. It is being used by churches and religious groups up and down the land I live in and around the world as far as I can see.
So yes, I despise them, I hate their petty-fogging rules but there are bigger battles out there.

Update....Not That Anyone Cares
by 1234 inthis isn't a poor me thread.....just what is going on here in my small world.. since both my son and me own tour companies, when the lock down happened three weeks ago our businesses literally died over night.
we both depended on the tourist that come to phoenix and sedona, so that all went away as people stop taking vacations.
all future tours have been cancelled.. my son moved in with me two days ago, much to chagrin of his jehovah's witness mother.
